Artist Statement
The theme "Living Colour" was good for me because I believe
the use of color is one of my strong points. I choose to do flowers because
any color that you can imagine can be found in a flower somewhere in the world.
Quilting is an amazing art form. Once you step into the world of quilting, you find there are no limitations on your creativity or your depth of feelings.
Techniques & Materials
The fabrics for the flowers are all hand dyed by me. The background is mostly
batiks. The circles in the background are all pieced, not appliqued. The flowers
are machine appliqued.
