Artist Statement
There is something about bright, bold, vivid red poppies in the heat of summer
that grabs my attention and screams living colour.
Techniques & Materials
I decided to try something new to me--Machine applique. This challenge was
an opportunity to explore a new technique. The quilt is machine quilted and
includes hand embroidered details on the Poppies.
