Artist Statement
Question: What can bring more pleasure than a new
box of crayons?
Answer: The artwork created with those crayons.
Techniques & Materials
The fabrics are mostly commercial batiks. The quilt top was actually constructed
in two layers. The bottom layer was composed of pieced colored squares that
were quilted in place. The top layer with its circular, faced holes was then
pieced together and quilted in place over the colored background.
