Artist Statement
This is the 4th in a series of quilts based on the colors of a particular
memory. It combines my love of color, mood, and geometry. This block creates
secondary color patterns depending on how it is twisted or turned and its
relation to the block next to it
“Misty Morning” captures the colors of a memory of a morning hike in a Pacific Northwest forest.
Techniques & Materials
“Misty Morning” is machine pieced. Almost all of the fabrics are
hand dyed by me or Judy Robertson, along with just a few commercial cotton
batiks.
